Wow... only 12 hours from home, with a run up (and down) the I-5 Grapevine to boot...

Passing cars like they were standing still...

August would be a brutal time of year to do 12 hours (each way) in a rolling hibachi; but then again... I'm no wuss.

However, towing the grapevine in an air-conditioned pickup truck (being passed like I was standing still) while munching on a cheeseburger, and listening to the soothing tones of Kenny G. emanating from the Bose surround-sound, is slowly overtaking my sense of complete irrrationality....
