Default Decal placement on FIA Cobra

Does anyone have some good pictures of where the "Goodyear", "Autolite", etc. decals would have been placed on a '64 FIA Cobra? Thanks.

Just a FYI
Decal placement was usually left up to the particular crew that was assigned to that particular car at that particular race.

Thanks all, I am expecting my 50th Anniversary FIA Cobra to be completed soon, and have the decals, just wanted to make it look like it would have during that initial racing season like at Sebring, etc.

Miky,
I did a 64 FIA with decals, go to my pics and look. It's like others said, it was the flavor of the day on who and where they put decals. I liked to keep it basic, kind of less is more.

I hope not, unless I kiss a wall at the track or a guardrail on the freeway as I fishtail into traffic…...

Thanks. I am now wondering about what font is correct for the numbers in my roundels. Anyone know? And where is a good place for the numbers I want, 4X #12?

Can't wait to see it! I went with generalizations & put them where I felt they should go.

Thanks, I will post some final pics soon. I think you are right, I will look at all the FIA car's pictures and see how I like it best. I think the numbers mostly look like Arial font, I already have the #12 license plate for it from my state, so I am locked in on that number.

The plate will be a great detail! I don't remember which font I used, either. I know I had a little bit of my own vision, at the time. Have fun with it!

Here's some info about the car you're replicating. I hope you find it helpful.

World Championship 1964 -
Sebring - #12 Bob Bondurant - Maroon nose stripe.
Targa Florio - #150 Vito Coco / VINCENZO ARENA - Maroon team stripe.
Spa-Francorchamps - #4 Jo Schlesser / F - Maroon team stripe.
Nürburgring - #99 Jo Schlesser / F - Maroon team stripe.
Hill Climb - Freiburg - #175 Jochen Neerspasch - Without team stripe.
Hill Climb - Sierra Montagna #175 Jochen Neerspasch / D - Without team stripe.

CSX23O1 also never had the FIA "dimples"...

Thanks I have finally figured out what "dimples" were. I knew 2301 did not have them, but to me dimples are indentations, not protrusions, but I guess if you viewed them from inside the trunk, they could be dimples….

A good friend of mine was the crew chief for this Cobra until the Targa when he was switched to the Gurney Cobra (2323), after Targa Uncle Sam sent him off to Vietnam.
