Default CSX4000 Master Cylinder Help

Hello All,

Who has an early CSX4000 series that has had to replace their "AFCO" Master Cylinder? AFCO no longer makes the same Masters anymore, and many have recommended Wilwood and Tilton. Problem is they do not hook up to your existing hard brake line, and your reservoir line due to different size fittings. The clearances to add adapters does not work.

Hoping someone has gone through this scenario, and can share a quick fix or solution.

Thanks,
- Bill -

Why don't you just rebuild it, they are easy. If it's a 7/8", I just listed an NOS OEM Afco Rebuild Kit, #2011-1514K for one, in the Parts for Sale section. Good luck!

If rebuild parts are available that's the way to go. Shelby replaced AFCO with CNC but they're out of business too.

There is a thread on this very subject in the past month or so. Search can be your friend.

Finally received clarification from AFCO that their AFCO Master Cylinder Rebuild Kits will not work with the earlier AFCO Masters! What a cluster F! Surely someone with an early 4000 series has changed their leaking Master and run into this problem?
