i don't know what happened... i tried to send this in
pvt mail on Clubcobra, but i must haev dropped the
ball.
anyway, i heard this when i was at a local backdraft
dealer on wednesday. We got to talking, and i
mentioned the new shelbys. He shook his head (his name
is Mike, just for the record) and said they had gone
under, and he didn't know if those cars were EVER
going to turn up.
while i was there he called someone else and asked
them about it. whoever he talked to told him it was
true, but that two cars had shipped, and now the plany
was re-opened, but only making GT40s.
who can say?
i don't necessarily believe him...rumors fly in every
business. But by the same token, in the other thread i
read about this, it was ka-bashed (as i understand it)
by someone working for shelby, so the same caution
applies in the opposite direction (what are they GONNA
say?).
so, Im 50/50 on it until someone can corroborate or
dismiss.
