I wish you luck with Nostalgia. Assuming SAI has exhausted their suggestions, I would rather call Baer.
The "easy" fix at this time might be to add a proportioning valve. But I think this would be masking the underlying problem.
Here's what we know:
>We are assuming that the car's brakes operated properly when new. (The original owner should have a good idea how the car braked if he was on a track.) Therefore, all the correct parts and connections should be installed.
>You've eliminated the master cylinder and pads as suspects.
>SAI says there is no balance bar in the system, so that can't be contributing to the problem.
>The correct 7/8" master is connected to the front brake lines.
Therefore, IMHO, only the calipers and brake lines are all that's left.
>Pressure check the brake lines to see if there is a restriction. (You may have done this already, but didn't mention it.)
>If not, swap out the calipers...every Ford dealer has these PBR's in stock for the Mustang Cobras.
