Default 1969 Video of LeMans

Part 1

Part 2

part 3

"There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It is stripped down to the essentials- a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on pavement. Its loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. Its so damn wonderful that you cant believe it" Automobile Magazine 2004

Thank you Tom.....I saw that car at the Gulf Oil headquaters building, in the lobby in 1970 with my Dad, it was the inspiration for my SPF GT40.

I have a metal model with both Jackies autographs on the plaque here in my office.

Love watching those. Would be a blast to drive some of those cars. Just one lap in a 917 would be amazing.

Thanks for the links, Tom. The '69 race was one of the best of the Golden Age.
