GT350 by Zagato (Eye-talian carrozzeria)
My theory is that there were at least three of them. I have seen pictures of a white one where only the roof seems different than what Ford wrought. Then I have seen pictures of a green one, where the whole body is different but it still looks like a 1965 Mustang. That car is in Germany but the owner doesn't like his name released as the car is not for sale. Does anyone recall ever hearing Shelby sent some Mustangs to Zagato for rebodying? Zagato was pretty hot stuff in the Sixties, doing Aston martins and Alfas with thier lightweight bodies. They are still in business today. Has anyone ever seen an article on the Zagato GT350s?
Thes Zagato Mustangs are not to be confused with the Osi Mustang which was apparently a 1965 Mustang bodied in Germany by a parts company or the Bertone Mustang which was one made by Carrozzeria Bertone for the publisher of Automobile Quarterly, an aqua blue car that has a nose later copied by Mazda for the RX-1 Capella.
