Default "The Cobra-Ferrari Wars" book on sale at Motorbooks

In case you missed it when it was first published...

The excellent book, "The Cobra-Ferrari Wars 1963-1965," by Michael Shoen is now on sale for only USD$56.00 plus shipping at Motorbooks -- http://www.motorbooks.com/Store/Prod...ails_38468.ncm.

This is the second edition, which is essentially a high-quality reprint of the original hard-to-find book. I bought one of these at the regular price of $80 and was pretty darn happy with it, so to get it for only $56 is a bit of a steal!

For the record I have no affiliation with the vendor. I just want to let you know about this current offer, in case you are interested in buying a copy.

I had bought one from Mike Duell, who I think is a member of this forum. However his website, www.cfwars.com, is no longer active.

Besides eBay there are probably lots of sources for the DVD, such as http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=h709.

The DVD is excellent too.

Original "First Edition" vs. Current in-print version.

The orig one is now considered a collectible.

Default Why the original is worth more

the original book ran out but when the author tried to contact the printer for a reprint they said "Oh we didn't hear from you so we threw all the negatives away" so since he had returned many of the photos to the original donaters, he was forced to reshoot the old book to become the new edition with some resultant fall off in quality. Still the new version looks good and many can't tell the differance. Lesson No. 1 in publishing: Never trust a printer to save somthing for you!

I'm very happy with my 'replica 2nd edition' and use it for a reference guide from time to time. A great read.

In case you missed it last time, this excellent book by Mike Shoen is once again available from Motorbooks at a discounted price of $75.00 USD.
