Hey Mike,
Did you get the fans working yet? Picture Picture you don't need no stinkin picture. It goes on the right side of the dash and the door opens towards ya and yes the light does go out when the door is closed.

Give me a call when you get a chance. jeff c

Mike,
Like Sydney we make the door from aluminum and use a strap or piano hinge to attach it to the dash. We secure the glove box to the dash with screws into aluminum 90 degree flanges from the inside after the dash is in place. I do have a light in mine no kidding. Used a license plate light, it has a covered lens so no paper could touch and get hot. Sometimes I worry about the weirdest things. It is wired to a hidden master switch that turns it on and kick panel lights too.

I installed the Finish Line glove box that they sell in there catalog for $175 and it fit perfect in my Shell Valley. You need to be extremely careful when your locating the glove box to avoid coming in contact with the tubular cross member behind the dash board. Just by luck I avoided hitting mine by about 1/16". The glove box looks great and it was a good investment.

I love Finishline and their products but can't stand the shape of the glovebox door they do. If you want dimensions to do a better shape for the door let me know.
