Default ALL COBRA TALK

Dear Gang,
I know that you have been down this road(no pun intended), a thousand times before. However, I'm still in diaphers! Unique will be delivering my FIA in about six weeks, and I'm still not certain on a few of the options. Please input- I am building a mostly, if not entirely, streetable FIA, with a Southern Automotive 351w, and Ford Top Loader. Is there good reason to install the upgraded Carrera coil overs with my Jag rear, or is Unique's standard coil over package sufficient? I have not checked on the price difference so far. Also, does your experience offer any tips on suspension package equipment, or other for that matter, that I should consider outside of the standard package offered? As far as jack stands vs. bumper over riders, does the State of Florida require bumpers? Further, it seems that the jack stands are more appropriate for the FIA, however, I seem to lean toward bumpers. Is this just mindless dribble on my part? Or, just a case of "in the eye of the beholder"? I'll try to keep it simple for now. I've read So Many of the questions in the forums on ClubCobra, from expectant fathers pacing the Coba delivery rooms. Thanks from another nervous dad. Thank God we are not having twins!

I think you would want the rear Carrera upgrade. It gives you a little more room in determining rear height. That is one option I would want. The other would be the brake upgrade engineered by Joe Traut. Vast improvement over the former. The shocks run around $700-$800 additional. The brakes, I think, are around $350 to $400. Good luck!!!!

CAL,

Thank you for your reply regarding the Carrera coil overs and upgraded brakes suggestions. I will look into both of these ideas and consider your thoughts!
