Exclamation Thunderbird rear end

I've gotten to the point of needing to shorten the axles on my rear end by 1.5". Can any one tell me where I can get them shortened or what might be the best way? It's independent suspension off a thunderbird about 1985 or so.
Thanks Huck

FFR offers shortened axles in the IRS kit. Perhaps you could contact them and order just those.

I'd have to think you'd find someone local in the phonebook through a performance shop. If you are looking for a decent company and don't mind shipping, I can dig up the name of the company that did my 9" Ford rear. Let me know. I'll be happy to get the name.

Default shorten

Check your yellow pages - in any fairly large city there is a drive-shaft service shop that can do it.
good Luck!

Thanks for the help. I guess I wasn't thinking and I called an old friend that has a drive shaft shop in Albuquerque, 60 miles away. He's going to help me shorten them. Thanks again for the help. Huck
