emergency brake attached to driveshaft

speedway motors hot rod catalog showed up the other day and they sell a emergency brake setup that has a disc attached to the pinion with a brake caliper hooked to a cable hooked to a pull type lever that either mounts on the floor or side panel. advertised for a ford 9".

something that might work for the other kit cars, eh? i think total price would be around $300 for the complete setup.
