Default Stand up custom radiators ?

I'm curious, what have some of you guys done to improve your radiator from the original slant type to a stand up straight radiator ?

I'm sure it has to be a better way of cooling but, since you'll loose some height, do you loose on cooling ?

If you have photo's, please post them, the brand, type ect.....
Who built yours ?

I just looked at one popular company for Hot Rods being,.... Ron Davis.

I have an upright Ron Davis radiator. The fins are epoxyed into the side tanks. It developed leaks in all 4 corners during two years of use. I was able to fix the leaks. I had a 350 Chevy motor. No shrouding front or rear. A small cfm electric fan. Never had an overheating issue. When running 60 mph the motor ran 180*. I am currently changing the motor to a 427W. I will use this radiator with a larger fan and will shroud the front and rear, and hope it will work.

Here is a photo of my car with the body off from a few years ago. You'll see the radiator on my 1995 vintage Everett-Morrison is vertical. It sits inside a steel frame that secures and cushions the radiator. The steel frame attaches to the chassis frame rails on each side. I don't recall the dimensions of the frame/radiator, but it provides adequate cooling here in the deep south, even at track day events. I believe it's a Griffin brand radiator in one of their stock sizes.

I don't have any pictures but I had a radiator shop here build me one that would fit in the steel frame that went around it. They made more cores in it than the original one that came with the car. I never had a leak or any heating problems all the time I had the car. I ran two electric pusher fans only and it gets hot here in the Summers.
