Question Topoaders

HI GUYS,

SOME TIME AGO I FOUND A THREAD ON C.C. - WITH A POST THAT I THOUGHT WAS FROM DAVID KEE.

IT WAS ABOUT 15 OR 20 PAGES LONG AND INCLUDED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE FORD 4 SPEED TOPLOADER - - COMPLETE WITH DRAWINGS, PHOTOS AND BREAK DOWNS, PARTS LISTS, ETC. OF EVERY PART.

I WAS SO IMPRESSED THAT I PRINTED IT AND "SPIRAL BOUND" IT FOR MY COBRA LIBRARY. (IT ACTUALLY PRINTED OUT IN "GREEN" AS I RECALL.)

IT DISAPPEARED - ALONG WITH THE REST OF MY COBRA LIBRARY - DURING MY RECENT "CONTRIBUTION" TO GLOBAL WARMING.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA OF WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT (IT'S QUITE OBVIOUS THAT I DON'T), I'D SURE APPRECIATE A REPLY AS TO WHERE I COULD LOCATE IT AGAIN.

I TRIED DOING A "SEARCH" BUT I GOT CAUGHT UP BETWEEN SUCH SITES AS "IS CINDY CRAWFORDS MOLE REAL??", "TWINKLE TEENS", AND "MEG RYAN IS REALLY A GUY".

THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY RECALL MY COMPUTER *SKILLS* WILL KNOW HOW THAT PROBABLY HAPPENED.

ANY HELP IN LOCATING THAT WONDERFUL TECHNICAL WORK WILL BE MOST APPRECIATED.

THANKS MUCH, AND, Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK

Post TOP LOADERS II

HELLO CAL,

THANKS FOR THE REPLY.

I HAD THOUGHT THAT IT WAS ON DAVIDS WEB SITE BUT IT "AIN'T THERE NO MORE".

HE HAS APPARENTLY CONSTRUCTED A NEW SITE AND I CAN'T FIND THE "MANUAL" ANYWHERE ON IT.

I'LL CONTACT HIM AND HOPEFULLY IT'S AVAILABLE ON LINE IN SOME "SECRET HIDING PLACE".

THANKS AGAIN AND HAVE A GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK

This maybe it, as I remembered the thread and printed it out, from the Tiger forum. I tried to access it again as listed on my print out, but the web site moved. I was brousing and found it again. Its layout changed some, but it appears to be the same article, as taken from a ford manual.

Excellent step by step instructions.

Those pics on the Tiger site of the toploader disassemble/rebuild are straight out of the standard Motor Repair Manual published in the 60s. I have the '66 version. David Kee may have some of that on his site, too.
