I can see how it could be bent, just can't figure out why its pulled away from the car as well as twisted and lower. I think it was just a bad install based on how clean the rest of the car is.

I think they were built that way, poor workmanship, and "who cares" about flange orientation , you can't see it that well anyway!

Yup. After looking at all the pics I would agree. Sorry to say, but probably a re-do or close to that. Sad to see.

Just an update on this. I got the pipe adjusted today by a local hot rod builder. He cut the flange off of the exhaust side of the pipe. He removed about an inch and changed the angle of the flange so it matches the drivers side as close as he could get it. Looks MUCH better now. I will get a better side shot tomorrow.

Leroy is correct that was the exactly the answer that I got from Ron Roberts for Firefly when he recoated my headers and side pipes. I have attached the pictures to show the 1" spacer on the driver side and nothing but the gasket on the passenger side.
