For my cobra I use the red plastic tray. For our racing truck I made one from a 4x12 piece of wood. That way all the holes and spacing are correct for that motor.

Sorry I do not. I'm not home so unable to take a photo. Will be out of town for 3 weeks. I didn't mention it takes a lot of time it make one. Drilling holes, sanding the fuzz off, braking the hard edge of the holes, and painting to the bottom of the holes. The one I made is for a GMC straight 6. We will be using it for years and years. It's really just a block of wood with holes in it. If you want I'll take a photo of it when I get home.

The red plastic one for my Windsor is not perfect and is now worse that I've installed a Jessel shaft setup. If I pull the heads again I'll probably make another tray.

a shoe box, poke holes in the lid, for rods, use a sharpie on the rockers, 1I, 1E, 2I, 2E, Etc...if you need to organize lifters use an egg carton

Yep, think I'll go for the DIY route, the plastics can get expensive.
If I was still rebuilding engine like years ago, I may have spent the cash. All I used for years, even on the sprint car, was cardboard, markers and zip bags.
