Default Boss JBL's 331 on the way

Just got back from my engine builder, Keith Craft in Arkansas, and very pleased. The little 331 made 440 torque & 521 hp @ 7100 rpm and still wanted more. The motor wants more compression and bigger cam but this is just fine for now. If I get serious down the road and want another 100 hp I know what to do.

302 R-block
Neutral balanced rotating assembly
10.5 compression
solid roller
Yates style C302 heads, titainium valves, T&D rockers
Roush C302 intake, 750

Keith runs a first class show and these boys take their Ford motors very seriously.

John,

Really cool!!!!!!!

Your JBL is going to be a very serious piece on the roadcourses of California.

Chuck is going to have to raise the game to keep up. But then you are going to have to deal with "THE BUTCHER"

Let me know your first track date. All of the boys from JBL will be there to see the action.

Default This is 1 Bad Smallblock

Moving towards a Trans Am spec smallblock.....nice. Shows what can be done with an a set of efficient heads and a well thought out reciprocating assembly.....great job. and only (1) 4bbl!

Very nice.

Rick

Congratulations John,

Your 331 with Yates heads is an awesome power plant. You sure built one rare and trick engine!

Thanks all for the support,

Richard, I think maybe one year from now the car might be ready for the track. Possibly I could shoot for next years Knotts show and trailer down. I would love to have my car at your booth. Now that I think of it, one year from now is not much time.

What do you think about a solid black car with aluminum panel interior and red leather buckets?

I'll keep you posted.

John
