Mike:
From the experience I had in Connecticut, would suggest you consider obtaining all the Massachusetts DMV regulations & safety/inspection policies prior to making any purchases. As an example, my Cobra was legally registered as a 1966 with a legal title and verified VIN in another state, Conn required the Cobra to be registered as a Composite using the current year, their term for a kit car. Had to have Bills of Sale for the engine and running gear to document the parts were not stolen and the DMV inspector mentioned I would not have passed without heat shields over the mufflers.
Good advice to discuss with someone that has registered a Cobra in your state.............Good Luck
