what size bolt?

can anyone tell me the size of the bolt holding on the driveshaft to the front of the differential on an 88 tbird turbocoupe?
it is not 7/16" not 1/2" and looks like a 10 point bolt.

It's metric. Not sure of the size, but any Ford parts Dept has them. Got a box of 4 of them for a coupla bucks.

i am needing the yoke on the front of the rear end.
i have an 88 tbird 3.73 posi with disks and need to
pull the yoke off one at a local yard.
i have never seen bolt heads like this before.
on cobra forum they said they are 12mm / 12point

Thomas they are 12 meter metric bolts. I have them on mine and had to remove the transmission a week ago. I learned a long time ago to get a set of metric tools as well as standard as it seems everything is about half and half any more.

i had a set of metric sockets with me but they were 5 point

12 meter bolts would be 39.37 feet long or dia. which ever way you look at it.

They are 12mm 12 point. I tried to get a impact socket to take them off. Couldn't find one at any local stores. Finally got them off with the third Craftsman socket. First two sockets cracked. Jim

Way to go Bryan, keep us all in line with the correct metric terminology. We will learn this stuff eventually.

I've broken sockets removing these bolts. Often had better luck putting a 12 pt. 12mm box end wrench on them and hitting the wrench with a 3 lb. hammer. Reinstall new bolts with socket. They have that pink thread locking compound on them.
