Surge / Expansion tank question again!
I have a '67 Corvette "Harrison" surge tank on it's way to me to use on my "Project GT140" (a Mustang II being re-styled similar to a Daytona Coupe) and have a quick question. The engine is a 2.3 turbo and is already fairly plumbing intensive as I need lines for my heater and also my oil cooler. The high point in the car is now the heater core.
Here's a pic of a similar tank:
I believe Corvettes had the connector at the top plumbed to the radiator and the lower one to the heater.
Here's my question: Can I just cut my heater core feed line and splice in the tank (inlet top and outlet bottom)?
(And yes, the "puke" line below the cap will be connected to a small catch can to protect the neighborhood cats )
Any help is appreciated,
Francis "Turbo II"
