Needing some EM measurments
Hi all,
I have decided to build my own pedal assembly, instead of spending $437+Shipping for EM's. BUT.... I need some measurments from theirs if anyone has one and cares to share the info.
I am using Manual Brakes, No clutch.
Thanks, any input would be helpful.

Ron,
There is a lot more science to building pedal assemblies than you might think. What do you get for your $437 from EM?

Catalog says:
Pedal Assemblies include Brake and Accelerator Pedals, Mounting Bracket, Master Cylinders, and Hardware. Manual Type assembly has dual brake masters with balance bar proportioner.

Ron,
I am installing my pedal assembly now. It includes the clutch pedal, power brakes, and accelerator. I can get dimensions for you if you wish, but I tend to agree with Steve. E-M has already engineered the pedal assembly and has sources for all the components. The time to design and fabricate this item on your own will probably exceed your initial estimates. I always consider my time at whatever my overtime hourly wage is when making the "do it yourself" or "hire it out" decision. Good luck, and let me know what you need soon. Once the pedals are installed (next few days), measurements won't be easy.

Ron,
Can you order the pedal assy from EM minus the clutch pedal and master cyl?, or do they make you purchase the entire assembly? I would guess it would be cheaper to order it this way. I would think the marginal savings possibly gained by using an alternative would not be worth the aggrivation. You would have to make that determination.

Yes,
You can order the EM Pedal Assembly in any configuration:
Clutch/Manual brake,
Manual Brake/No Clutch,
Power Brake/No Clutch,
Clutch/Power brake, ....
My assembly is the lowest price:
(Manual Brakes/No Clutch, with master cylinders, and mounting hardware) $437.00
BUT,.. I jut found a GREAT deal on a Wilwood Pedal with bias bar AND a remote adjuster knob,.. So, looks like I will probably go that route. Please let me know if any of you have installed the Wilwood. Thanks for all you're help!

Ron
sounds interesting. Just make sure the master cyl bore diameters is correct for your calipers.
Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks All,
As it turns out, I ran across a SUPER deal on a Wilwood Pedal with Twin Brembo 1" bore Master Cylinders, Bias Bar and remote mount adjuster. Looks like I am going this route!!
Should be some stopping power.
