100 Octane Storage
I'm running 100 octane in my car however the only station that pumps it is 45 mins from me. So, I decided to get a 15 gallon (Jaz) heavy duty plastic jug. It has a very tight seal ( O ring) and does not leak any fluid or even vapor for that matter.
I have been told that the fuel will "go bad and loose it's octane level" if I keep it in anything other than a metal container. Is this true ? I mean, I know over several months it would, but how'bout a couple weeks ?? Thanks in advance.
