Default Horn Button

I have an Ididit steering column that is set up for the horn. Could anyone tell if I can use the horn through the steering wheel with an origional style AC steering wheel or will I have to put a button on the dash. I have yet to get the wheel but the electrical is well on its way.

Thanks,
Aaron

My column has a connector protruding about halfway down. This connector has the horn circuit in it to allow use of the button. I've highlighted the connector in the picture. The black wire goes to the horn button and should be wired into the ground circuit for the horn relay.

Aaron,

I also have an Ididit column but I used a spring loaded momentary toggle with a long arm. Got it from Moroso. The arm is about 2" long.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I did not do a very good job at explaining my question though.

Without having the steering wheel yet I was wondering if I can get an origional style wheel that has a functional horn button in the center for my Ididit column.

I saw in Roscoes picture that he used an external switch for the horn. Was this by choice or necessity?

Thanks Again Guys,

Aaron

The column in my picture has the horn button in the middle. No wheel required.

Just hit it on the "IDIDIT" (which now has the cobra emblem on it) and she'll bark...

Here it is with the switch removed.
