Exterior hydrolic clutch

I want to put an exterior hydrolic clutch in my cobra. Has anyone done this and can help me with it

Yes. you make a bracket out of angle iron, mount a "slave cylinder" to it and that pushes the clutch arm. That's the basic idea, there are 100 ways to get there.

I used a pull type slave cylinder from Wilwood, and attached the bracket to the trans crossmember. Has worked trouble free since June of '98.

I mounted a steel angle to the car frame and bolted the slave cylinder to the angle. The slave has a rod that goes through the fork. My set-up pulls the clutch fork. Some other styles push the fork. There are some kits that actually mount to the engine block and push on the fork. Enzo at the finish line may be able to hook you up with the parts. My external slave has worked flawlessly for 4000 miles so far.

If you want a turn key item then buy the kit from Southern Automotive or Finishline. Its as easy as 1,2,3.
