Default Ceramic Coating in Michigan

Two questions here.

1 - Any recommendations on local ceramic coating for headers and sidepipes in the Detroit area (Brighton, actually) or anywhere else in Michigan? I've read consistently good things about Finishline in Oregon, but am a bit concerned about shipping back and forth.

2- I have stainless steel headers and sidepipes. Can I have just the insides coated or does the outside get coated also? I assume they have some way to mask the surfaces to prevent coating. Especially around the collector to sidepipe slip fit area.

About ready to send the body/rolling chassis for paint and figure its decision time on whether to coat the exhaust system while waiting to reinstall it after paint.

Thanks,

Chuck

Default Appreciate your help!

Thanks Scott and Dan. I've emailed both and will decide which to use based on their responses. I've got stainless steel headers and sidepipes, so I'm probably looking for a creative response.

Default Update

I sent email to both companies. I haven't heard from Toefco in Niles. Absolutely no response. On the other hand, I didn't get an email response from Process Coatings either. Instead, Doug called me the next day and we had a great discussion. I'm going to take my headers and pipes to him (along with some stuff I want powder coated) and let him work his magic. Sounds like his prices are a bit higher, but I expect to get what I pay for.

Thanks for the referral. I hope I'm as satisfied with the final product as I am with their initial customer response.

Chuck,
I used Process Coatings also, they are the same ones that Tristates uses to coat thier pipes, I have been very pleased with them so far and the coating holds up great. Mine are done in the Cermaichrome not sure on the spelling but very nicely done. Cleanup consists of using some aluminum mag wheel polish, nice bright finish. The owner is a very nice guy and very easy to work with. Took about two weeks to get mine done dropped them off and picked them up myself. I think you would be pleased. If you want to stop by and check mine out your welcome to anytime.
Todd
