Talking Dash layout & Dimensions

Hi Guys, I'm in need of some help here......

I am putting together an original style 427S/C dash and while I can find out what the layout should look like and what should go where - what I can't find anywhere are some dimensions.

For example, what is the distance from the top of the dash to the bottom at the centre (I'm sure one of you guys would be kind enough to measure that for me ) but what about the distances between the switches and gauges and from the edges etc.

I am sure I could scale a drawing and work it out for myself but just wondered if there was an easier way or if someone had this info. to hand.

Am I getting too anal here or has the illness really taken hold now???

Thanks in advance guys...

Gumball.

I had my dash made by AC to the original dimensions though the instruments have been laid out in 289 rather than S/C style. As I live close to Chelmsford you are welcome to take measurements. However the dimensions on a Dax are not the same as there is less "peak" to the body and the dash is curved rather than straight.

pderouss,

Many thanks for the offer, I'll put a tape measure in my car for next time we meet.
Don't suppose you are going to the Dax open day - it would be fun to have a real one there , if not, I'm sure I'll see you again real soon.
