That the 9 inch is overkill for your current power plans...
A stock 9 inch Ford rear in good shape is good for 600 to 800 hp, (depending on who you ask) However if you ever beef up your HP with something like a "418" small block, (500 + HP) I would recommend the 9 inch Ford or similar.. you can always do this later.
The T5 tranny is good for what? 300 hp ? I think Bob is telling you it's the weak link..
