Unhappy direction lights

I have a strange question. My Antique and Collectibles kit has two different types of direction lights. One has two filaments and terminals so it will come on when you turn on your lights and also flash. The other set has a single filament and terminal so it will only flash and not be lit when the lights are on. Does anyone know which type goes on the front of the car and which goes on the back? I am guessing that the "lit" ones go on the back, but i thought i would ask. Thanks

Wayne Z.

Hmmmmm....my A&C came with all dual filament bulbs and sockets. May want to check with Joe up at A&C.

Mine came with all dual element fixtures. Two red lenses and four amber ones. I did not connect my rear ambers to anything but use for turn signals. This would only use the brighter element on the rear amber. Is this what you have?

Let me add that I use all the bright filaments in the rear for my brakes, amber and red. Can't be too safe. Signals are just hooked up to the amber.

Thanks folks, I called Joe at A&C. At some point they went to two lights with one filament and two lights with two filaments. Just as you suggested, the rear lights should only be on as directionals (single filament) and the front should come on as parking lights and also directionals (two filaments). Glad I asked, I had it backwards in my mind. Thanks for the help

I see your from New London. I'm from Menasha. Small world. I think there are about 20 cobra replicas around the valley. Glad to see another one. Jim

Jim,

I would love to see your car. I have seen a few around Appleton and a nice red one out of Hortonville. Email me your phone and maybe we can compare stories.

Thanks Wayne
