Default 7000rpm /480hp

I am currently making around 435fwhp @6200RPM from my 347 with 10.1. comp alloy heads,solid flat 248@.050.560lift etc....
If I was to go up in cam to a solid roller about mid .600 lift,250 ish@ .050
would I make around 480 maybe 500 at no more than 7000rpm?
Would my 10.1comp make to undrivable down low in the revs when I drive it on the street(occasionally)
I have a tremmec 3550 and 4.1 gears

More compression equals more HP and Torque. The only thing limiting you is octane availability. 10:1 is better than 9:1. I would run 12:1 if the octane was available.

I had a 10:1 , 11:1 and now a 10.75:1 351W Cobra motor with no noticeable problems down low in the street...all on pump gas. I understand the cam profile is the thing to plan when focusing on street manners. Solid roller is probably a must but the grind is key to streetaibility. As far as spinning a your motor to 7000rpm, my understanding is that the heads( not just cfm flow) , type of valve seats, valve retainers , valve springs, other internals, engine balance/blueprinting and the bottom end should be built for the task of many visits to 7000 rpm.

With a 4.11 gear, you can use more cam timing. It should crank up fast enough that the low end power will be fine. Scott
