Question laser & radar detectors

Any of you have experience with front and rear mounted radar/laser detectors with laser shifting? Favorite brand, type, best online place to buy, etc? I realize that we all drive well below the posted limit but was just wondering what kind I would buy if I was going to buy one. Thanks

Thor,

I highly recommend the Valentine 1 radar detector, the Bel 904 Laser Jammer, the K40 Police Radio Detector and glasses that give you 20/10 vision in the mirror!

The Valentine 1 is outstanding and has saved me many times. The K40 is good for warning you that someone else is getting a ticket. The Bel has not been tested, yet.

Paul

Valentine 1 has saved me on numerous occasions driving from Las Vegas to CA and back. At that time I had a ZR-1 and would cruise well into triple digits. Now I have an 02 Vette Mag Red 6Spd and cruise just under the 3 digit mark. I have never regretted buying a Valentine One. I can hardly wait for my Hi-Tech to get fired up.

......... but just remember, you will NEVER beat a good radar/laser OPERATOR, only the lazy ones who leave the beam on the whole time and are just "fishen".

But a good rader detector will pick up on the cars way, way ahead of you getting clocked. As far as the laser part, I think you just get an earlier warning you are getting pulled over. I had a remote mount Whistler many years ago and it saved me getting a ticket many, many times because it would alert me miles before I got to the radar gun.

Default BEAR TRAPPER

Valentine 1 is without a doubt the best "detector"...but if you truly want to be "stealth" you need to buy a BEAR TRAPPER by Uniden
It works by picking the the Trunk Radio signal all HP and local police use. It can pick up the signal as far as 3 miles away and alert you...WAaaaay before the radar detector goes off. It has saved me dozens of times...
One hitch, it is only for highway use outside major cities....Such as open roads and highways in leass populated areas....
