Question What Size Wheels????

Hello Everyone,

Okay here we go..... I have an older FFR roadster kit I am just finishing up and need to order wheels. I am using a '89 donor car, and changed the 4 bolt pattern to a five bolt by using axles from a '89 Ranger using drum brakes and rotors from a '89 Lincoln for the front. I want to go with 17" wheels and love the American Racing Wheels, Torque-Thrust II classic (series CL 205), chrome with grey centers. I don't want to order the wrong size!!!

Will the 17*9.5, 5*4 1/2 bolt pattern, 6 3/8 backside, with a 28 offset fit the rear.

Will the 17*8, 5*4 1/2 bolt pattern, 5 1/2 backside, with a 25 offset fit the front.

These are the stock sizes they offer that seemed right to me. I got the (width divide 2)+ 1.25 = backside from FFR, but am not to sure how far in either direction I can go, or if the backside has to be right on the money.

Thank You for any help

The rears should be ok. The fronts-- the backset/backspace may be too much and cause suspension interference.

I used the same wheel though in 15" on my NAF 289FIA. Had to exchange my 8" for 7" because the 8" interfered with my front suspension when hardover

Do like the look of the Wheels, with a spinner they sort of look like the Halibrand Magniesium knock off type of similar design
