Unhappy shock noise

I have Alden(?) coil over shocks in the rear. They make a squeeky noise over every bump. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!. Any others have this problem or a fix for it?

Todd,
You have a problem that several of us had/have.It took me months to find the squeek on mine.Thought it was the shock or bushing.
I found it by accident.

It is the rod ends on the 4 link.

Jim Woodard and I both switched them out for QA1.
The "extra high strength chrome moly,teflo/kevlar bearing race.

COMPLETELY changed the ride and handling ! and no more squeeks.

I'll check and see if I can find the part #'s Jim sent me if you are interested.

Thumbs up Fred is right............

the squeeking noise you're hearing is the heim joints on the 4 - links. Replace them with teflon lined high quality heim joints and voila, the squeeking disappears and the ride improves dramatically.
