Default Help Please! 351W Engine ID #

I am trying to find out what year my 351W is. I have called numerous Ford dealerships and NO parts people have a clue how to cross reference my ID #. My block number is: D3AE-6015-ED15.
Can anybody help?? I am having my inspection and emissions done tomorrow!

Terry , Call my shop on wed. a.m. and I can give you the location of the production date code. The block is a 1973 style. Call Eric at (513) 738-5001

Ford uses the first letter to indicate the decade and the following number to indicate the year. C would be 60's as D would be 70's. D3 would be 73.

Take the starter off,look up at bottom of block. The number is cast into the block.First character is year C,1960's D,1970s, Etc.
Second character year in the decade,third character car lineA= full size cars,B= Bronco,C= torino,D= Falcon F= outside US, G= Comet, H =Med./heavy truck, J= industrial, L= Lincoln,M= Mercury, O= Fairlane, R= Capri, S= T-Bird,T =truck, U= Linclon (61 -up),V= Linclon,W= Cougar, Z= Mustang HM =Holman Moody
Fourth Character A= Chassis,B= Body,E=Engine, M= motorsports,X=Muscle parts,Y=Linclon/Mercury Z=Ford parts
