Default Aluminum Raditor - Need reccommendation

I have a ford radiator in my Cobra that is similar to the ones used in 67-70 big block mustangs, but with brackets welded on to fit my frame (B&B/LA Exotics). Does anyone know of an aluminum radiator that is dimensionally similar to a stock ford mustang radiator like mine? I'm thinking I could have a local shop weld on my existing brackets. Also, approx price?

Thanks,

/Chris

I contacted Ron Davis Racing and they built me an all aluminum radiator with twin electric fans that keep me cool here in Houston.

I took my dimensions and they built it exactly to fit, including bosses for my brackets to mount to the frame.

You can find them on the web, ask for Tim and he can quote you whatever you need.

Chris, I have a Ron Davis radiator with a single electric fan. Never been too hot, even in freeway stop and go.
Just remembered, second to last picture in my gallery shows my radiator.

Default No "drop in" units?

I am somewhat surprised, given the number of Mustang and Ford enthusiasts that there's not a drop-in replacement made for a 67-70 big-block radiator. I don't think I have the budget for a custom unit - how much are you paying Ron Davis for these units? I already have fans.

I have a rather large Griffin. Works fine.

Many Griffin radiators have had problems with leaking. I threw away my Griffin and ordered a custom one from Afco

http://www.afcoracing.com

They modified it by closing off the fill cap, installing AN fittings for the hose and adding a petcock drain. Cost was around 250.00 for the radiator and modifications.

Budget or not a good radiator is a sound investment. Much cheeper than major engine repairs because it failed.

I got my aluminum radiator from Summit Racing. It was set up for
a standard ford height an width. Have had no problems with it. I
fabricated the brackets from some aluminum flat stock. Cost was about $160.00.
