Trouble uploading photos

I finally got around to posting pictures in my gallery. When I go to upload a photo, I feels like it takes forever, and finally, it comes to a screen that says thak my maximum time for uploading (180 secs.) has been exceded. What should I do to upload my pics?

Mike,

Check the size of the photo that you are trying to upload. And if you are on a dial up and are trying to upload a large one it could be timing out. I normally try to keep mine around the 50K to 100K size for the gallery and even smaller if they aren't large photos. If you still have problems e-mail me and we will see if we can work through them.

How do I downsize photos, I think it will work if I can downsize them, I use "old school" dial up.

Mike - to check photo size, right click on the image - the size should be shown in the "properties" section at the bottom. The easiest way I know to adjust is with a photo editing program such as Photoshop. Open the file, and go to "resize image". 640 x 480 is good. Good luck...
