Default ERA Windshield

Went this AM to pick up my car at body shop after nose job (did not know I was hung up on parking lot cement stop and backed over it). The shop had removed the windshield to avoid lines when applying new clear coat and dropped the windshield on the steering wheel cracking it big time. Does anyone know with certainty if a Shelby or Kirkham windshield is a direct fit on an ERA 427SC. Bob at ERA can't ship one till minimum mid to late next week.
Nobody home at Shelby or Kirkham today to ask.
Thanks,
Hoppy

Interesting question. I've heard the ERA windshield is an exact replacement for the original and it comes from England.

The question then may also be:
Does Kirkham (ie Shelby) also use an exact replacement English window and frame combo.

Hoppy,
Check your PM, gotta message for you on an alternative. Just replaced mine. It depends if you want to replace the glass yourself or not... Duane

What??? Source for ERA glass replacement is top secret or what?

As for me, I'd serioulsy consider having someone else install the glass for me! NO way I would attempt it myself.

ExCal...,
There is not really a secret alternative for purchase... but an alternative to sending the entire frame/old glass back to ERA to do it. You are correct, it is one of the more UN-FUN things I've had to do on my car. Not easy or fun at all. Just because I'm a bonehead, I had to see if I could do it myself. Maybe next time I'll be sending it in too... kept my box too just in case I break another one.
