Default Motor Mount placement

Hi,

I am trying to finish my conversion from a 350 to a 351W. I was wondering if anyone out there with an Everett-Morrison has a 351 or 302 and is willing to provide me with measurements to alter the placement of my motor mounts.

Thanks,

Chris

I have an E-M chassis set up for a 302 Ford that I will be converting to a BBF. What measurements are you looking for?

Harris,

Thanks for such a quick response. I need the measurement of the the distance between the end of the front frame rails to the center of each motor mount. I have tried to get the measurements from E-M, but they keep blowing me off and never send me any info. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. I understand if the measurement is somewhat rough, as it takes quite a bit of effort to get from the front of the rails to the engine compartment. P.S. Do you have to cut out your motor mount brackets to replace them? If you do and are no longer using them, I would be interested since the ones on the crappy 350 are not compatible.

Thanks

Chris

I'm using the Corvette suspension. Do you know if the frame rails differ in length based on which suspension is installed?

I will have to butcher the existing mounts pretty badly to remove them considering the tools I have to work with. I know that E-M has difficulty in responding to all requests for information. I never did receive the specifications for coil-overs that I asked for. However, they did sell me new BBF motor mounts and also gave me some of the dimensions I need to install them. Have you considered purchasing new motor mounts from E-M?

If you want, I can also take some digital pictures of my existing mounts and email them to you but I probably won't be able to get to it until Monday.

Default Measurements

The distance from the end of the frame rails to the rear most part of the engine mount is 3 feet 2 1/8 inches. I tried attaching a photo but for some reason it doesn't appear. Let me know if you want me to email you the photos.
