Cobra Make, Engine: (building) - Hunter #74 w/ 302 small block (320hp under the hood). . . how many wires are there in a wiring harness?

Default Where is the alternator on a 460ci ?

Where is the correct placement for the alternator on a 460ci big block?

Did not take off the old one, so I have no reference to what holes it should line up with.........please help!

Anyone.....

Default Stand off tube and bolt is down on the block

Of course the curved bracket and upper bolt are on top and mounted to the water pump. Here's the best shot I could get (It's pretty crowded in there, the view is directly over the alternator and just forward of the head/valve cover) :

Looking at the engine from the front, it is supposed to be on the bottom left. But in my car, it had to be on the upper left for clearance reasons. But, you can probably put it anywhere you want as long as you arn,t running any other acessories other than your water pump.

Default One reason my alternator is on the passenger's side

Is the driver's side was taken up by the power assist steering pump. It's a rebuilt rack/pump from a 1986 T-Bird. Tom Wells has power steering...
