Tonneau/Top fasteners

Where can I find a diagram or layout for Tonneau/Top lift-a-dot fasteners? I've checked ERA and Unique on line but they have no info in their manuals.
Or what is the spacing and placement on your car if you have them?

I used a factory soft top and had to install studs on body per build manual to line up with factory top. When installing custom made tonneau, the upholstery shop had to install fastners lining up with previously installed top studs.

There is no one right way if you have no top or tonneau right now. Across the back, the studs are about 4" apart. Over the fenders, they're about 2" apart. For the toneau, there are 2 snaps on each door, and 3 snaps on either side of the dash. The tonneau is zippered down the center, and the drivers side can be rolled back and snapped behind the seat leaving the passengers side installed while driving.

I am about to attempt to install a tonneau cover on my car and was hoping for some good tips. The thought of drilling into my nice paint is a little disturbing. Any experts willing to share some knowledge? -Bob

Bob, the big thing is of course not to chip or scratch. Put a piece of tape down, drill a pilot hole, run the drill backwards and you should do just fine.
