Problem solved...it was the ground....darn things are grounded "inside" the assembly to a printed circuit board...usually the contacts corrode and burn, then you have to replace the circuit boards.....$150.00 each tail light..."OUCH".. Luckily I caught them befroe they burned off...cleaned them real well and used some diaelectric (?) grease...hope this is not a short term fix.................Thanks, Earl
