Mike,
Thanks for the reply.
How is the responce with your unit. I find that my power unit has some play in it. I'm looking for a crisp steering response
Thanks again

My ratio is 18-1 on a narrowed mustang front.I just replaced the steering shafts and joints with polished SS splined 3/4" round 36 splined shafts. The rack came with 48 spline and Borgeson has 36 spline.two u joints and a self aligning bearing as the steering shaft comes through the footbox. An adapter that ges from 48 spline femame to 36 spline male a 36 to 36 Universal joint a long shaft 23" or so another Universal joint and the splined end of the steering column shaft .
Sitting still on the garage floor is a tugg but on the road, it is great and quick. The special part is a special part that a freind of the original builder made .It looks like a squashed "U".the actual rack is below the steering points on the front axels.the rack has two ends that are both connected to the sides of the "U". The short links that go th either axel are mounted at the higher points.Bump steer has been eliminated and the mas of the "U" assorbs most vibration. The "U" is guided so it only moves side to side.

E-M's also use a standard Mustang II rack.
