suspesion adjustments

just picked up a venom 427, I need help adjusting rear suspension. I have gabriel shocks with a and normal. firm and soft setting but have tried all three and they all seem the same unless im doing somthing wrong. There are only three clicks on the shock. Any help would be appriciated.

That's pretty much been my experience with inexpensive shocks. I would junk them and get some Koni's.

The rear shocks and springs in a Cobra are the single biggest reason too many prople sell their cars prematurely.

The driver is positioned so close to the rear end that the rear suspension setup is critical.

Absolutely take chuckmynatt's advise. A number of manufacturers make infinitely adjustable shocks.

A perfect setup is the Aldan coilovers. Put lighter springs in the rear (250 lbs. - seriously) and adjust the shocks according to the day's activities. If you set everything up right, you can literally adjust the shocks without even jacking the car up. Take a blanket with you and use it to turn the shock adjustment knobs to fit the need.

One full turn from full soft and you have a freeway cruiser with a BMW ride. Turn the knobs 3-4 more turns and you have a serious road racer. Turn all the way hard and you've got a banked-oval flyer (for you guys in the south).

I'm sure there are other good brands out there, but these are really convenient.
