Default Injected 5.0

What cars came with the H.O. 5.0 and automatic transmission other than Mustangs? I want to find a donor with an injected 302 and automatic overdrive for better highway manners.

Thanks,

I believe some Thunderbirds and LTD's came with the H.O. motor.

T-Birds and Explorers. Crown Vics had non-HO motors. I don't believe LTDs ever had EFI motors.

I think you will find that the last few years of the 5.0 in the
Explorer 96-2002,(I think) had the GT40P heads and Cobra R intake, not a bad engine for a Cobra.

Brandon,

Good luck on the 5.0 liter. Getting rid of that big old 460?

I sure do enjoy my little old 5.0 liter. Runs with the big boys and gets almost 20 miles a gallon. And do not need to adjust the jets everytime we stop in the mountains.

Of course that little old hair dryer helps a lot too.

See you soon. How is the baby doing?

Are you and Stacy going on Cruise Colorado?

Dick

I am keeping the big ol lump, I think that I am adicted to the tourque. I need something for the Mustang and figured who better to ask than this group. There are probably more tuned 5.0 engines here than anywhere.

The baby is good, but a lot of work. I still haven't convinced Stacie that he needs a Jr. Dragster yet, but I have a few years.

It looks like we might be able to make the first day/night, but probably not the whole thing. We are having a little trouble ligning up a babysitter for the whole weekend.

Brandon,

Jr. Dragster would be fun. I will mention to Stacie next time I see her.

First night of the cruise (Weds) we are going to Crested Butte. We really had a good time there last year and everyone wants to go back. Neat little town with lots of nice people. We are talking to their car club and trying to do a picnic with our Cobra's and their car club. Will be fun.

Last night we are staying in Aspen (Sat). We are going to set up a bbq at the hotel. Aspen is a really great place to drive the cars up and down the main street. I got a warning last time there. Was going over the 15 mph speed limit. Nice cop. Said he was sorry for stopping me, but had to stop and see the car.

Getting warm enough for Test and Tune (Wedsdays) at Bandimere. Hope to get out a couple of times this year and let the car run a little. Will let you know when we are going.

Hope to see you soon.

Dick
