Tom,
Got it! :) I feel your pain. Luckily mine is not that bad though.

Okay, I finally hauled my severely aching butt out of the house yesterday. I took two photos of the steering shaft assembly and posted them in my gallery. I still haven't figured out how to post pictures with the message, so you'll have to hit the gallery to see them.
Once again though, this is just a simple bolt-replaces-rollpin fix, so don't expect to see any great feats of engineering here.
I did drive the car (FINALLY) yesterday also. The combination of double-nuts & red Loctite seems to be the easy fix.

Tom, remember.....if that bolt isn't the exact diameter of the hole, it will eventually wear the shaft and you'll get lots of play in the system.

Yeah, It is a rather tight fit, so I feel okay about it, but I'm looking at it as a temporary fix. I sent the picture to Shell Valley to see if they have a better plan on the table for me. I had this car completely apart last winter, supposedly fixing all the minor issues it had. The thought of having to fabricate something else doesn't appeal to me right now. I'd rather buy another column & linkage setup and put it on rather than have to make one more little giblet myself at this point.
