Heater What's in What's out

Hi,

I am going to install a heater in the near future(if temperatures ever drop here in NJ)

Is this correct. Coolant flows from the water pump to the heater coil and then back to some location on the intake?

P.S. I don't want to install it backwards because then it becomes air conditioning!!!!

Correct, in to the heater from the water pump, out to the intake manifold water jacket. The reason is that even though there is flow at the manifold, you are "downstream" of the pump. By peeling the water off at the pump outlet, you insure a better transfer of fluid through the heater core.
