Can't help you with engine never heard or dealt with the builder...but with the stated HP the 650cfm, Edlebrock(or Holley) might be a better choice...what does the builder recommend? As for manual vs electric I like my manual choke on the Edlebrock 600 I'm running on a 289 hi-po at about 310 hp.
Others may say forget the Edlebrock and go Holley. Holleys are infinetly tunable ,with a caveat being " infinitely tunable" to get them set up right, for me way too many variables and $$ and previous knowledge required in setting up Holleys.MOO.
