Did you try just loosening the fitting from the caliper with the hose still attached?

I tried the correct open end wrench and basically rounded the fitting. Then I used a grip plier and that ate the fitting too.
I think I'll just cut the hose and use a tube wrench or a socket. If all else fails, maybe a pipe wrench will do the trick.
