Default Oil Pan Gasket Install

Just checking to see what most people prefer when replacing an oil pan gasket with the motor in the car. Seems like everyone has an opinion as to which is best. Gasket on dry, dry with silicone at corners, gasket with blue or black ATV. Gasket with aviation sealer.

Want to knock out the leak on the first try. I am thinking about using the one-piece oil pan gasket. Any opinions or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Oh yeah, and you shouldn't need any silicone on it as most of them have silicon in the gasket. Make sure you trial fit it on the pan. It should just lay on it with no problem.
