Torsion bars on Contemporary

The assembly manual for Contemporary's has provisions for setting ride height for both stock Jaguar torsion bars and for H.D. Contemporary torsion bars. There are different settings for each type. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between them? I don't know which type my car is equipped with. Thanks.

I once saw a contemporary converted to coil over, original control arms were not changed. you would need to calculate degrees for shock efficienciency if this is an option for you.

Nah - just got back from a 27 hour layover in PUJ - got all the rest and sun I need!

Stock Jag torsion bars measure .77", I think the heavy duty were .830". Nothing wrong with torsion bar suspension, Contemporary started using coil overs when XKE parts got scarce!
