Default Running cold!!

Haven't had much time to figure out my engine temp problem. Car usually runs at 195 on avg. Have had a problem with the car not going above 140 degress. Fan was coming on with the turn of the ignition switch. I unhooked the fan to see if the constant running of the fan was possibly the problem. Took the car out. Temp gauge did not reach 140. The problem from what I know is: 1) thermostat staying open 2) bad temp sensor. What else could explain this? Thanks!

check coolant level and bleed system, sometimes air can get trapped causing faulty readings. I run a purge tank with a bleeder hose on top to keep system full and no air bubbles.

If the temperature doesn't go up when you've disconnected the fan and the car idles for a long time, the problem must be in the gage temperature sensor.

Smile IR Thermometer

Buy a infrared thermometer with build in laser at the parts store. Use it to check the sensor, radiator, hoses, block temperatures, etc. Great little shop tool for Cobra owners. Cost $40 to $100.
Better than changing a lot of parts, looking for what wrong.

I think I have finally solved the cool running temp. Changed out the 160 thermostat with a 180. Ran for about 15 minutes temp reached 200 without the fan. Bad thing was a hose blew off, that I didn't have secured properly. I guess the thermostat was stuck open. It appears that the problem has been solved! Thanks to everyone for their help!
